Loudoun Thrift Walking Tour – Participation Waiver & Release

Voluntary Participation
I understand and confirm that my participation in a Loudoun Thrift walking tour is completely voluntary. I am in good health and have no physical or mental conditions that would put me at risk of injury or make it unsafe for me to participate.

Understanding the Risks
I understand that walking tours take place in public spaces that Loudoun Thrift does not control. Risks may include—but are not limited to—uneven sidewalks, potholes, curbs, wet or slippery spots, low lighting, narrow paths, steps, construction areas, crossing streets, traffic, or weather-related conditions. I acknowledge these risks and choose to participate anyway.

Accepting Responsibility
I accept full personal responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during the tour, whether to myself or my belongings. I understand that by choosing to join the tour, I’m assuming all associated risks.

Release of Liability
I release and hold harmless Loudoun Thrift, its owner, employees, independent contractors, volunteers, and partners (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, damages, costs, or liabilities that may arise in connection with my participation in a walking tour—even if caused by the negligence of the Released Parties.

Indemnity Agreement
I agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, costs, damages, or liabilities that may result from my actions or behavior during the tour—including claims brought by others for injury or damage I may have caused.

Severability
If any part of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the agreement still applies.

Photo & Media Release
I give Loudoun Thrift permission to use photos or videos of me taken during the tour for marketing, promotional, or educational purposes—without compensation.

Consent to Medical Treatment
If I am injured or become ill during the tour, I authorize Loudoun Thrift to assist in arranging emergency care if needed. I understand they are not obligated to do so, and that I can refuse treatment unless I’m incapacitated.

You will be asked to sign this waiver before participating in a Loudoun Thrift guided walking tour.
